Exploring Boa Vista - Cabo Verde Beach Paradise

Let's venture to another beautiful island, Boa Vista! As a beach lover, I couldn't resist visiting one of the most stunning natural beaches in Cabo Verde.

To maximize my time, I opted to fly between islands instead of taking a boat. A crucial tip for fellow travelers: you can't book these flights online, as the websites often don't work. Instead, use a travel agency. I chose Atlantur. They handled everything after I shared my travel plans, including flight schedules (note: flights are only available on specific days, such as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from Praia to Boa Vista, so plan your accommodations accordingly!).

After confirming my plans with Atlantur, they requested a copy of my passport and full payment via wire transfer. Initially, this made me nervous since all our communication was via email, and I had to pay upfront. I did some research, and Atlantur came highly recommended by other travelers, which eased my concerns.

Eventually, everything went smoothly! I received my ticket right after the payment.

Where to Stay in Boa Vista

In Boa Vista, I stayed at B&B Salinas Boa Vista, one of the best hostels I've ever experienced! Owned by Mauricio, an Italian, and his Cabo Verdean wife, the hostel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, Mauricio provided a map with key locations like banks, ATMs, supermarkets, and the beach. This was incredibly helpful, especially if you don't have data for GPS.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with a desk, night table, luggage stand, and a private bathroom with hot water. Daily housekeeping was a pleasant surprise. They didn't tell me that someone was gonna come to clean my room so I was pleased when I came back my suite and all the beach sand was gone, and the bed was made.

Breakfast is freshly made upon request, adding to the hostel's charm. They also offer a laundry service, just all of the things that make life easier for travelers. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and friendly experience.
